In 2003, after having frequented the world of communication agencies in Paris, Izou drops her computer for her back pack. She leaves for a year on the roads of the Southern Hemisphere, from Quito/Equador to Alice Springs/Australia and returns with a dream: that of becoming a full time illustrator. It all comes true with the release of her first album for youth in 2007. Since then a dozen more albums for children have been published. In parallel, Izou has developed since 1999 creative works of art based on recuperation. Old planks of wood, ancient objects, pieces of rusted metal, or magazines from the 50’s constitute the basis of her creative material. Her work aims to value little things patinated by time using them as surfaces for poetic and playful creations..
